14. 98erics: Nope, its called roller hockey. Street hockey will screw up all of your high dollar equipment because of the abrasive nature of concrete or asphalt. Roller hockey is typically played on a "sport court' which are basically a slightly textured plastic floor. The equipment is the same as ice hockey except for the skates, in roller hockey we will bust your balls is you refer to our hockey skates as "roller blades", which is a brand name and a completely different thing, down to the alignment of the wheels. There was even a roller hockey league called RHI, which stood for Roller Hockey International. 16. soupy3185: Ok so stick with me on this one. Roller hockey = roller blades and equipment. Street hockey = sneakers and no equipment. Then there was our version of EXTREME STREET HOCKEY which is same attire as street hockey but play as if you’re playing ice hockey. Checks, slap shots, wrist shots, cross checks anything goes. Kinda like tackle football with no equipment.

18. Odd Fish69: Street hockey is roller blades with street wheels. The goal is a circular metal garbage barrel. Only gear is gloves. Maybe shin pads if your a pu**y. Not going to pay to play at some “street court”.

He was hauling ass and was watching the pass coming to him and veered off to the right tracking the ball. Hands up anticipating the ball, he ran full speed into a pretty solid mailbox. The box itself broke off and cracked. The frame it was on didn’t move though. Floored him hard. We were probably 12-13. He cried but nobody laughed. Shit was brutal.

29. Ian McLaughlin: Stick with it homie. Street hockey is fun af. Couple tips. Find an unused parking lot and gloves for your hands are a must because people slash and your fingers will bleed. Goalies need gear because that shit hurts.
