- spookymomma - deb. g.h.r.: +Phillip Mcnichol........ i started vaping 5 yrs. ago after 40 + yrs of smoking tobacco...............i couldn't lie down on my back without hearing my chest gurggle. it scared the hell outta me. i started with vape liquid that contained nicotine and over a year and a half, worked my way down to 0 % nicotine. i won't lie and say i haven't smoked at all since then................i do on occasion "fall off the wagon" , but over all i don't regret it.

- Veronica Brown: I don't smoke because I am deathly allergic to cigarettes. I have asthma attacks, break out in hives, and this happens even when I walk outside and encounter smoke. It isn't okay. I shouldn't be put into a situation where I am walking down a public street and a puff of wind causes me to feel like I can't breathe. I can't go to outdoor concerts, festivals, or large gatherings at all (protests, rallies, speeches nope). I have to plan my life around your habit. That is okay because it is your choice to smoke and there are only so many restrictions we can reasonably be expected to impose on someone's life. However, I do ask that people try to consider others. Smoke away from the door, away from the crowd, and avoid major public spaces when smoking. Nicotine is a drug and I get that and if it is impossible for you to do those things or if you just want to minimize your impact on others I hope you vape instead. I carry my inhaler I carry my cortisone and Benadryl I can't afford an EpiPen but I know hospitals carry them if necessary. I will be fine so will most other people with my condition or conditions like it. But it would be nice if we could hang out with you guys and go to a concert have fun and neither one of us feel weird when you feel the urge to light up.
