High Country Snows was a real departure for you. Was it a really fulfilling album for you to make?
"It's the most fun I ever had in the studio, and I think that comes across on the record. It was just a joy, a pure joy from day one to the finish." (Dan Fogelberg) - Interview by Lydia Hutchinson
High Country Snows is the ninth album by American singer/songwriter Dan Fogelberg, released in 1985. Recorded in Nashville, it showcased his, and some of the industry's best, talent in the bluegrass genre. Vince Gill, Ricky Skaggs, Doc Watson, Jerry Douglas, David Grisman, Chris Hillman, and Herb Pedersen were among those who contributed to the record. In a world he defined as "life in the fast lane," Fogelberg described the music as "life in the off-ramp." It rank 23 on Top Country Albums Chart, and rank 30 on The Billboard 200 Chart. The single "Go Down Easy" reach No.6 on The Adult Contemporary Chart.
